About ISHWAR-NGO

ISHWAR, an acronym for Inclusion and Social Harmony With Attitude Reconstruction, was conceived in memory of a young specially-abled child, who during his 22 years of lifetime, touched the lives of many by highlighting the existing indifferences towards the disabled.  His life inspired the creation of this NGO focusing on generating the highest human qualities in all individuals with equal opportunity, respect and dignity. A deeper thought on these words reveals many aspects that seldom cross our minds.

INCLUSION: A humanistic philosophy which recognises that though all individuals are different, they need the same opportunities and equal spaces in society. It is a move towards developing a more mature society, community and nation.

SOCIAL HARMONY: With our cultural values and legacy of tolerance and diversity, our strengths must focus on creating social harmony in the society.

ATTITUDE RECONSTRUCTION: Disability lies in the mind of the observer and not in the labelled individual. The poor need a helping hand too! We focus to spread this message and change our attitude to understand and respect the both the poor and the differently-abled.

Donations to ISHWAR are eligible for exemption U/s 80-G of Income-tax Act, 1961
vide Order No. NQ.DIT(E)/2009-10/614 DEL-IE20153-19062009 dated 19/06/2009. Valid perpetually, vide amended provisions of the Finance Act 2009 for Section 80-G (5) (VI), in respect of renewal of Exemption Certificate u/s 80-G (VI) of the Act.
